MAYFLOWER MARCH
A 10K ROUTE
The 10km flat route is a 2 loop route that starts and finishes in the centre of Immingham, a small town close to Grimsby. The route takes you around the outskirts of the town and sends you out towards Habrough and down a lovely peaceful track called Mill Lane. It was from the shores of Immingham that the Pilgrims fled England in 1608 to start a new life in Holland. The Mayflower was a passenger boat that set sail from the shores of Immingham in 1620. Its passengers were in search of a new life – some seeking religious freedom, others a fresh start in a different land.
Pelham Road Immingham, North East Lincolnshire DN32 0AZ, at lamp post 41, on the opposite side of the road to Princes Street.
(Parts of this route may not have street lighting at night)
There is a large car park close to the start just around the corner on Washdyke Lane.
